Version List

BG1: Made in Heaven is a collection of mods I wrote for the game Baldur's Gate 1. Currently it consists of three major parts, Loot & Spoils, Encounters & Quests and Fixes & Tweaks. I wrote these mods pure for my own enjoyment, and am putting them online here in hope that others find them fun as well.

Loot & Spoils

These mods mostly add new items to the game. These items can be found throughout the game on enemies and in some shops.

BG2 Backported Items adds the following items from BG2 to BG1: Amulet of Spell Warding, Amulet of Magic Resistance, Periapt of Proof Against Poison, Paladin's Bracers, Elven Chainmail, Potion of Extra Healing, Gloves of Healing and Lesser Circlet of Netheril.

Made in Heaven adds the following new items to BG1: Ring of Protection +3, Durlag's Axe and Pearl of Power.

Encounters & Quests

These mods alter and extend existing encounters and quests, or add new ones.

Yeslick's Escape (BETA) changes Yeslick's story a little and makes him available for recruiting much more earlier than normal.

Additional "The Surgeon" Encounter expands The Surgeon's story a little with a new encounter with this character in Cloakwood.

Made in Hell (UNFINISHED) adds some new monsters. This mod is as yet unfinished and the monsters don't appear in a standard game yet. Using the debugging console, you can create them and try them out. The following monsters are available:

Fixes & Tweaks

These mods correct some oversights and inconsistencies I found while modding, or tweak the rules of the game slightly.

Corrected Item Definitions installs updated item definitions for several items, making them display proper icons when equipped. It also makes the Mage Robe of Electricity actually resist electricity like it should.

Skeleton Warrior Race Correction changes the race of skeleton warriors from "human" to "skeleton". This doesn't seem to have any effect on gameplay though...

Relative Stat Enhancements changes items that set a stat to some absolute value to instead give a bonus relative to the current value. In a vanilla game, this affects only the Gauntlets of Dexterity and Gauntlets of Ogre Power.

Relaxed Magic Item Restrictions relaxes the rules for combining magical items. You can choose to either allow magical armors with one protection item, or simply remove all restrictions completely.

Healing Spells Bypass Magic Resistance makes the paladin's Lay on Hands ability and the cleric spells Cure Light Wounds, Aid, Cure Serious Wounds and Cure Critical Wounds ignore magic resistance.

Increased Arrow/Bolt/Bullet Stacks increases the maximum number of arrows, bolts and bullets to 40, the same limit as in BG2.
