Angelissa's Tower
I'm playing with Z-code, the language of Zork and other old Infocom text
adventures, as well as modern interactive fiction. Not much to show yet,
but you can explore a few rooms of Angelissa's Tower.
I've made some progress, both with mastering the language and developing
the game. It's still not a full-fledged game yet, but there is some stuff
you can do. Some things you can try:
- Show any items you find to Amanda, she will in most cases tell you
what they do.
- Give tomatoes to Fiery, she will then follow you around for a while
and react to certain others.
- There are two treasures to find, a ruby and an emerald. Give them to
Amanda to score points.
- You can help out the BOFH and teach the PFY that staring is impolite.
- Nathalie is hurt, you can help her.
- In the room below the ruins, there is a 1 in 6 chance every turn that
a wight appears. If you have Cluebringer or the Hammer of Bastarddom, you
can try killing them and see the (very primitive) battle system I implemented.
Stuff that doesn't work yet:
- Spellcasting: You can pick up a spellbook, but you can't cast any spells
yet, though there is a 'cast' command.
- Flying: There is a 'fly' command, but you can't fly anywhere yet.
- Winning: You can't win the game yet. There's only 40 points to score by
finding the ruby and emerald.
- Losing: The wights do not fight back. Kill as many as you like.
- Going anywhere. The world is very restricted currently, only a few
floors of the tower are complete. The other two locations, NOC and ruins, only
have a very few rooms.
Bug reports, requests and ideas welcome. Have fun!
